Tennant SA cleaning slate in one swoop
There is no surface too big, too small or too dirty for us to clean.
On 4 April 2005, an enquiry was received by Tennant SA from their web site for the cleaning of a 1000 sq meter slate or "slasto" area at a golf estate in South Africa.
Alex Theodoridis and his team responded immediately after establishing the clients' needs and set off (armed with the necessary equipment and detergents -Acrylseal SB, Brickleen / T2120 and a Ghibli AS400 wet/dry vacuum cleaner) to the golf estate for a demonstration.
Slate or also known as "slasto" is difficult to clean with ordinary detergents
due to natural elements such as calcium deposits and various types of soilage.
Minerals found in our water and even rain adds to the problem of calcium build-up. The only way to remove this form of soilage is with the right acid formulation such as Brickleen with the combination of agitation and recovery. Once the floor surface is totally cleaned and dry, the Solvent Based Sealer is applied.
